Per Enoksson finished his art school studies in 1994, and soon after, a concept began to take shape around origin, nature, and outdoor living. In 1995, Per started building a bell tent sauna - a place for warmth, social connection, and both outer and inner renewal. A space for recreation outdoors.
When the sauna was ready by the mountain cabin, Per began sketching complementary products. It wasn't long before he had a vision of launching a complete outdoor concept. The feeling that came from standing barefoot on the earth inside the sauna, combined with this growing need for a different kind of life, became Hikki's spark.
Per started a company to realise his ideas - simple yet exclusive products that would carry the same feeling as the sauna. These new products meant, sadly, that the bell tent sauna had to stay on the drawing board a bit longer.
The bell tent sauna - known on our site as Svetthyddan - has always been a natural part of Hikki's range, mainly because it embodies our lifestyle. Over the years, many have asked when our tent sauna would be ready. We always give the same answer: as soon as possible, but first we need to find the right maker.
