Our wood-fired pizza oven Gömsle will no longer be part of our future collections. It's making room for new ideas – but not because it’s lacking in quality. Quite the opposite.
Gömsle is exceptionally robust, crafted from corten steel and designed by Hikki’s founder and artist Per Enoksson. It reaches up to 450°C (840°F) in just over 30 minutes, and baking only takes a few minutes. Soon, you’ll be serving dream-worthy pizzas or flatbreads to family and friends from your own backyard bakery. It’s an oven our customers love – but despite its beauty, it’s no longer sustainable for us to keep in production. So now, we’re selling our remaining units.
Who knows – maybe your Gömsle will become a collector’s item one day? Either way, it’s a garden sculpture you’ll enjoy for many years to come.
Delivery & assembly
Gömsle is made in Sweden and delivered in ready-to-assemble parts that fit together with wedges – no screws needed. See the manual here.
Firing & baking
Gömsle performs best with dry birch wood. Start with thinner kindling and move on to thicker logs as the fire catches. In just over 30 minutes, the oven reaches 450°C (840°F), though timing may vary depending on outdoor temperature. Soon, you’ll smell the delicious scent of fresh pizza – or traditional flatbreads like gaahkoeh, lavash or pita. Serve and enjoy!

Update
Since its launch last year, Gömsle has been upgraded. We've modified the inner wall between the fire chamber and the baking steel to help the oven reach high temperatures even faster. The new divider is included in your shipment.
