Eldvakt is a heat shield for the Bohemen outdoor bath, designed to increase safety and provide better control when firing.

Eldvakt is a protective steel plate that helps safeguard the frame and surrounding wooden details if something goes wrong - for example, if the stove lid is accidentally left off. In that situation, the airflow can in certain cases reverse, and flames may seek their way back towards the firewood opening. Eldvakt then acts as an additional barrier.

Beyond protection, Eldvakt also serves a practical heat-regulating function: it reduces the heat that would otherwise rise straight upwards and supports a more controlled heat distribution - especially when used together with insulation on the water surface.

Please note: Water surface insulation is not included with Eldvakt. Later this spring, we will launch a new two-part water insulation, sold separately as an accessory.

Eldvakt is a particularly good addition if you rent out your bath, or for glamping sites and destination properties where many different guests use the bath and routines are not always followed to the letter.

Important information on compatibility (chimney / side)

Eldvakt can only be used with the Bohemen version where the chimney is positioned on the left-hand side when viewed from the front of the bath. This is due to how the opening and fit of Eldvakt are designed in relation to the stove and chimney.

Note: The black version will be back in stock in approximately 3-4 weeks. “Eldvakt” translates to “fire watch” - a traditional Swedish term for the person who keeps watch over the fire during cold nights.

Protects the frame Eldvakt's plate protects the frame against burns. Please note that burns on the wooden frame do not normally occur if you follow the instructions in the quick guide and if you keep the lid on the stove at all times when having a fire in the stove.
